Free Choice Modules

At Lancaster students take three subjects in Year 1. We believe in giving students the option to either broaden their study with another subject or to specialise in their chosen subject.

You could choose a subject which complements English Literature or Creative Writing, or try something completely new! 

​

For English Literature majors we do highly recommend that students opt to take

ENGL101 World Literature as one of their optional modules.

Some modules may require students to have prerequisite requirements of  A-Level or GCSE subjects at a specific grade. These are listed at enrolment or you can contact us to find out more.

How to enrol

Students will be invited to take part in online pre-enrolment before they arrive at University. Students will be able to access the student portal and see the range of modules which are available to them and any prerequisites.

 

Students can choose to pre-enrol online or they may wait until they arrive at the University to enrol during welcome week. Further information will be supplied regarding this process.
