Degree Programmes
We offer a range of degree programmes that focus on English Literature and Creative Writing. We also offer a wide range of joint degree programmes that combine subjects from other departments, such as film, art, history or languages.

Years 2 & 3
This guide provides a basic introduction to the first year. Part I is the foundation and stepping stone to your degree. On entering Part II (Years 2 & 3) of the programme students will start to specialise in their chosen subject.
As a Department we offer a wide range of interesting, innovative and testing modules taught by world-leading academics who often teach in their specialised field.

Year 1 Modules
There are three Part I modules available to first-year students. All students studying English Literature are required to take ENGL100, and students studying Creative Writing are required to take CREW103. ENGL101 World Literature is an optional module but is highly recommended for English Literature majors.
